DENNIS – Dennis Fire reports that at 8:34 PM Wednesday evening, they responded to a reported sprinkler alarm at 1370 Route 134, Brenda Nails in the Lost Dog Plaza. Arriving fire units found smoke coming from the commercial structure. Firefighters forced their way into the nail salon through the front door to find the fire contained to some cabinetry. Three automatic sprinkler heads were flowing upon entry. Firefighters stretched a handline and extinguished the remaining fire.

Dennis firefighters were assisted by the Brewster fire department while the Dennis police secured the area.

The investigation revealed an electric nail drying component left in a cabinet draw as a possible cause.

There were no reported injuries to firefighters.
