Rise Biscuits & Donuts, 11561 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have written procedures for cleaning vomit/diarrhea; hand sink had cleaning supplies in it (hand sinks are for handwashing only); raw shell eggs incorrectly stored over sauce cups in prep top; soda machine nozzles are dirty; walk-in cooler was under repair during inspection; cutting boards at make tables are scratched and stained; walk-in cooler racks and fan grate are dirty; observed residues inside refrigerated drawers; wall, floor and pipes under and around the cook line hand sink are dirty; observed dried juice on walk-in cooler floor; mop sink wall has mildew.

Red Lobster, 8009 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed food debris greater than one day old on strainers/skimmers hanging on cook line; temperatures of tomatoes on cook line and lettuce, cheese and tomatoes in salad unit are elevated; forks are not stored inverted on table next to walk-in freezer; to-go trays/boats are not stored inverted on cook line; pans on shelf on prep line are wet nesting; observed debris on shelves on service station/bar; observed grease/debris under broiler, on convection oven, on light bulbs on hood system, under grill and stoves, under fryers, in between and under equipment on cook line, on floor in walk-in freezer, and at bar area and service station; fan guards in walk-in cooler are dusty; faucet at prep sink is leaking; observed low grouting on floors throughout kitchen; floor tiles in front of walk-in cooler and in mop/chemical room are cracked.

Red Robin America’s Gourmet Burgers & Spirits, 10067 Brook Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Anokha Indian Cuisine, 4015 Lauderdale Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: concentration of chlorine sanitizer in three-compartment sink is too low; observed buildup on can opener blade and meat grinder in storage; temperatures of kheer made last night and raitha in the reach-in cooler are elevated; prep unit across from the stove is not keeping foods at the proper temperature (all foods have elevated temperatures); all dates observed in the walk-in were from months prior and have obviously never been changed; to-go containers are not stored inverted; walk-in cooler racks are rusty; cutting boards at make tables are scratched and stained; walk-in cooler fan guards are dirty; wires running above the cook line refrigerators are very dusty; sides of the fryer are encrusted with grease; gaskets in the under counter freezer are dark with buildup; cold water handle at prep sink is missing but the sink is operable; wall behind the dishwasher has mildew.

Rosies Kitchen LLC, 3601 Lauderdale Drive – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

King’s Wok, 5223 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; temperature of fried rice behind cooling rack is too low; menu items “Happy Family” and “seafood delight” list crab on the ingredients but imitation crab is being used; back door was left open during food prep; raw shrimp incorrectly stored on the floor of the walk-in; cutting board at three-compartment sink is heavily scratched and stained pink; floor fan behind back prep table is dirty; hood vents are missing (person in charge states they were removed for cleaning but this must be done outside of operating hours).

America’s Best Wings, 7536 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed mold growth on cheese in prep unit; rice was cooked the night before and left in the unplugged rice cooker overnight; temperature of cooked wings on prep table is elevated; several chemical cleaning spray bottles are unlabeled.

McDonald’s, 2310 Mechanicsville Turnpike – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; ice scoops are stored with handles touching the ice.

Peking Restaurant, 8904-F West Broad Street – The following violation was reported during a follow-up inspection: temperature of chicken in walk-in cooler is elevated (it was left out at room temperature for three hours and employees did not discard per time control policy).

Roots Natural Kitchen—Richmond, 6602 West Broad Street – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Applebee’s, Richmond International Airport – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: several cutting boards in the kitchen are heavily scratched and stained; refrigeration unit with glasses at the bar has rust on the bottom and the mouthpiece of the glasses are touching it; soda machine grate is rusty; there is carbon buildup on pans in the dish area; the gap in the hood vents is greater than one inch; observed crumbs on top the dish machine; fan on the cook line is covered in dust; hand sink in the kitchen is broken; metal wall plate behind cook equipment is separating from the wall; one light is out under the hood; floor drain in the dish area is damaged and uncleanable.

Cross Grains, Richmond International Airport – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: dish machine’s rinse temperature is too hot; floors are greasy and have buildup around corners and under equipment; door to electric room is dirty and has chipped paint; a ceiling tile in the dish room is missing.

Caribou Coffee—Concourse A, Richmond International Airport – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Caribou Coffee—Concourse B, Richmond International Airport – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of heavy cream is elevated; sink faucet is broken.

Cheeburger Cheeburger/Sam Adams—Concourse B, Richmond International Airport – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of sliced tomatoes, ham and turkey in the prep unit on the cook line are elevated; this prep unit is not keeping foods at the proper temperature; cooked onions are sitting out at room temperature (person in charge states they are on a time control policy but no time is marked); dish machine at the bar is broken; one light is out under the hood; floor is chipping; door has chipping paint.
