Pittsburgh is a treacherous and dangerous chapter for both Joel and Ellie as they try to survive a number of threats encroaching in on them in The Last of Us Part 1. But, as you explore the streets and flooded highways, there are a number of collectible locations in The Last of Us Part 1 remake’s Pittsburgh chapter.

The chapter is filled with collectibles that have shifted positions from their original locations in the game on PS3 and PS4. And, some of the more obtuse collectibles have been improved, such as triggering Ellies’ jokes.

Below, you can find all of those The Last of Us Part 1 remake Pittsburgh collectible locations as they appear throughout the chapter.

Pittsburgh has the most collectibles in any chapter in The Last of Us Part 1 remake with 35 in total. In addition, there were tools to find and supplements to pick up.

At the beginning of the chapter, you will automatically get the Siphon Hose and the Force Carrier comic as Bill handed you the former and Ellie picked up the latter.

The first optional conversation comes after you and Ellie have made your way into the garage. She will be looking at the bodies and you can talk to her.

Just to the left of where Ellie is standing for the conversation, you can find some tools on a workbench.

Tourist Manifest artefact collectible location

Opposite the workbench, on the item blocking the door in the corner, you can find a document resting on the grate.

Head upstairs and enter the room on the right. In the case between the two mattresses, you can find some supplements.

The first training manual in this chapter can be found just to the right of the last collectible, on the mattress. It will boost the amount of health healing gives you back.

Ambush Map artefact collectable location

Head out the following door and look to your right to find a small room. Enter the room and turn around to see the artefact by the doorframe.

The first workbench in this chapter can be found just to the left of the last collectible, in the same room.

Head outside, and after jumping down to the highway you will see a supplement plant behind a car.

Termination Shock comic collectible location

Head up the highway until you reach a bus. Head inside and to the left to find the comic on the ground.

Walk slightly on until Ellie stops at a car with a corpse hanging out of it. Talk to her to get the next collectible location.

Optional conversation 3 collectible location (Ellie’s jokes location 1)

After the three enemies pass by you on the highway, wait by the bus. Eventually, Ellie will start telling some jokes. Talk to her to grab the first of these joke conversations.

Lost Hill Note artefact collectible location

Jump on the bus and over to the other side of the checkpoint. Look behind the checkpoint counter on your right to find the note on the ground.

Directly after grabbing the note above, hop back over the sandbags and talk to Ellie who is looking at the wall. This will give you another optional conversation.

Optional conversation 5 collectible location (Ellie’s jokes location 2)

After you kill all the enemies in the next area, head into the main building and to the centre of the top floor. Here, after a while, Ellie will pull out her joke book and tell some more jokes. Talk to her to get the conversation.

Shiv Door 1 collectible location, supplements 3 collectible location, Lost Areas Map artefact collectible location

Stay on the top floor and head to the cafe in the back right corner of the floor. Open the shiv door here to get a step closer to opening all of them. Inside you can find the artefact mentioned above and some supplements.

Abandon Zone Note artefact collectible location

Walk downstairs but stick to the back right side of the building. Here in a small office, you can find a note next to a coffee machine.

Applicant Checklist artefact collectible location

Walk back towards the entrance, but look under the staircase in the front right of the building (from standing outside). Here you can find a document on a bookshelf.

Traitors Flyer artefact collectible location

Take a few steps just outside, through the front door, to find a flyer on the checkpoint gate next to where the supplies are being held in the courtyard.

Risk’s Firefly pendant collectible location

From the wanted poster, head down the alley on the left side of the building to find the Firefly pendant behind a piece of furniture.

Continue onwards until you climb a set of fire escape stairs and jump back down onto a van. Look by the van, in the rubbish, for a bottle of supplements.

After you see the enemies pull the plank of wood onto the bus in the cutscene, turn around and head to a beauty shop’s window. Ellie will come over and talking to her will get you another optional conversation.

Optional conversation 7 collectible location (Ellie’s jokes location 3)

Wait around back here, by the shop window and the barbed-wired fence and Ellie will eventually tell you some more jokes. Talking to her will get you another optional conversation.

Shiv door 2 collectible location, Mother’s Letter artefact collectible location, and supplements 5 collectible location

Just where you were crouched by the car, on your left, you can find a shiv door with a large X on it. Open it to grab the second one in this chapter. Inside you can find the document on the chair and some supplements in the small connecting room.

Continue onwards, until you need to cross the wooden plank to get to the hotel. Before you do, swim to the large staircase in the cafe and go upstairs. Look in the corner of the floor, at the end of the balcony to find some supplements.

Stash Note artefact collectible location

Just to the right of the supplements, you can also find a document to pick up.

After you enter the hotel lobby, head to the left to find a coffee machine. Interact with it to get the conversation.

From that collectible, head to the right side of the lobby, by the check-in desk. A set of supplements can be found on the edge.

Note To Staff artefact collectible location

While in the lobby, grab the ladder and place it against the edge of the staircase, by the gap, to climb up. Shimmy along the destroyed staircase in the middle of the lobby to grab a document on the other side with a safe code.

Safe 1 collectible location and Training Manual 2 collectible location

Jump down, and then go back to the check-in desk. Walk through the offices connected to the desk to find a safe, where you can enter the code: 22 10 56. Inside you can find the training manual which will grant you an extra stab with your shivs.

Optional conversation 9 collectible location (Ellie’s jokes location 4)

Climb back up the ladder and wait by where you shimmied along and the elevators. Eventually, Ellie will tell some jokes and you can talk to her to get the optional conversation.

Continue forward until you reach the second floor of rooms in the hotel. Head inside room 306 and look in the bathroom to find some supplements.

Now, head inside room 304 on the same floor and to the bathroom. Two corpses will be in there. Wait for Ellie to join you to activate the next optional conversation.

Turn around from the bath to find some supplements in the drawer in the bathroom.

Hotel Keycard artefact collectible location

When Joel falls down to the basement, you can find a keycard in an office on the top floor. This is unmissable as you need the item to progress.

On the second floor, head into the laundry room to find some supplements on a shelf in the room.

After you have escaped the hotel basement, you will see two rooms in front of you. In the room on the left, you can find a small bottle of supplements.

Just to the right of the last collectible, you can find a workbench.

After meeting back up with Ellie, climb up to the upper level of the large dining room and then shimmy along the wall back towards the direction you came in. Now you are above where you were, you can find the comic on a table.

Reed’s Firefly pendant collectible location

Continue making your way out of the hotel. Once you reach the lowest level, head into the women’s toilets on your left. Look in the toilet in the corner of the room to find the pendant.

Continue forward and eventually, you will pass a table in a corridor with a chair on top of it. On this table, you can find a Training Manual. This will give your upgraded melee weapons an extra hit.

Head into the large hall in the hotel and look to your right as you come in. You can see a backdrop for a photo. Head over to it and Ellie will join you. Talk to her to get another conversation. After she finishes, chat to her again to get another conversation. Finally, do this a third time to get the final optional conversation here.

After you and Ellie kill all the enemies in the courtyard, look to the left of where you first drop down. You will see a body hanging. Go over to it and talk with Ellie to get another conversation.

Fireflies Note artefact collectible location

Head to the opposite side of the courtyard and to the front of it. You will see a sandwich shop. Head inside and to the back room, into the storage room. On the floor, you can find the document.

Continue onwards and after using the cleaning cart to jump up through the gap, you will see a set of supplements on your left.

Opposite the last collectible, you can find another workbench you can use.

Final Attack Note artefact collectible location

After passing the two enemies in the corridor, look behind the final desk on the left in the office room to the side. On the floor, you can find the document.

Mob Attack Note artefact collectible location

Progress forward to the next group of enemies. Up high in a set of buildings, there will be multiple enemies in a fire-lit room on the right. Behind a desk in the back of this room, you can find the document.

Truck Note artefact collectible location

After killing all the enemies, but before boosting Ellie up to the ladder, look in the bank building. On a desk, in the front room you can find a document.

Shiv door 3 collectible location and supplements 13 collectible location

From the last collectible, head into the back room to find a shiv door you can open and some supplements inside.

Jump down with Ellie and look immediately to your left to see a school. Stand by the gate to have another conversation with Ellie.

Turn around and head to the three cars on the other side of the ramp. Look at the billboard to have the next conversation with Ellie.

When you are escaping the armoured car, you will walk across some wooden planks between two buildings and jump through a window. Look in the building’s bathroom, right as you jump through to find some supplements on the sink.

After meeting up with Sam and Henry, walk through to the kitchen. On the side in the kitchen, you can find the manual which will boost your Molotov cocktails.

Shiv Door 4 collectible location 4, Deep Phase comic collectible location, and Supplements 15 collectible location

After going down the first set of stairs, look at the door to room 201. Open the door with a shiv and look inside to find two lots of supplements and the Deep Phase comic.

Rios’ Firefly pendant collectible location

Head downstairs and into the men’s restroom on your left. Inside, on the top of a toilet, you can find a Firefly pendant.

Trial Note artefact collectible location

Continue onwards until you reach the office. Head into the meeting room ahead of you and look to your right to find a document on the floor.

In the same office room, look on the kitchen’s breakfast bar to find a small bottle of supplements.

Later on, after being split up from Henry and Sam, head past the Irish bar and into the reception room. Look behind the food cart to find some supplements underneath it.
